50 SHADES OF COLOUR – SURPRISE YARN KITS
I love to work with nature to produce many shades of colour – using plants, leaves, tree bark, fungi. Every yarn that I produce is a different shade of colour, unique – not repeatable. For several years, in my Etsy Shop, on Ebay, on Folksy, or via my Webshop, I carefully photographed each yarn kit so that the buyer can see what they are buying.
.. WELL HONESTLY – this is a LOT OF WORK – I spent more time with cameras and computers to make the listings and not doing the work that I enjoy.
Making the colours, weaving the rya backing cloth and designing rya kits, needlepoint and other creative things.
So… I have decided to not do the tedious things but to make and create what I enjoy.
Therefore, from now on I will still dye the yarns and put yarn kits together. Each yarn kit will be unique and a SURPRISE when you receive it. All plant dyed colours are harmonious – the natural plant dyed colours do not clash with each other. Sometimes natural colours do fade over time.. as we all do.. especially if you leave them in direct sunlight.
So each kit will be different – and a SURPRISE. The Kit that you receive will most likely not be the same shades that were in the Listing. I will try to post some photos of the colours that I am dyeing that may be in the next batch of kits.
The 50 SHADES OF COLOUR ‘SURPRISE’ YARN KITS will be designed for Crewel work, Needlepoint, Knitting, Nalbinding, Crochet and Rya Rugs. You can mix and match the colours, the yarn sizes and use them for whatever you like.
