I first started to weave and design Rya Rugs several years ago (1998). At the time, I was employed by The Mining Company as the WEAVING/SPINNING Guide. Since I was a young child, I loved Rya Rugs. Some of my fondest memories was visiting with my mother’s friends – who had looms. While they had their coffee and cake, I would sit under the big loom and dream of the time when I would have my own loom and make such wonderful things.

RYA RUG YARN KITS – 50 Shades of Colour
I will be developing some new Rya Rug Yarn Kits – Each Kit is Unique and every yarn that I dye (with Natural Plant Dyes) is a different shade. There are no repeats.
(The natural plant dyed colours may not look exactly like what is shown on your screen monitor – due to technology constraints and how the eye perceives colour)
The Rya Design will be yours to create.
The Plant Dyed Rya Yarns will work with any Rya Backing that you purchase elsewhere.
