Sami Reindeer / Fish Leather Coffee Bag – Til1
This is a Sámi style reindeer & Fish leather coffee bag. The leather and felt bag has been hand stitched using black reindeer leather ( couched with pewter thread design) on one side and tanned Tilapia Fish leather on the other. The bag is hand stitched using Red Norwegian Vadmal wool fabric. This helps to strengthen the stitching on the bag. couched with pewter thread.

The inside of the coffee pouch has been lined with natural cotton fabric The reindeer leather sack has a reindeer leather draw string closure at the top of the bag.

The reindeer coffee pouch will hold approx 100 grams of coffee beans, or whatever other treasures you might wish to store.

This type of reindeer leather bag was used by the Sami to carry their coffee. Coffee was an important commodity to the Sami, so they kept it close to them and carried it in a special bag tied to their waist. As the Sami are a nomadic people, when they set up camp in an area, the wood fire was lit, and the coffee pot was set to brew, ready to be shared with everyone once the tents and camp were set up.
